Organ Recitals

The Bach Society has announced two hour-long recitals of organ music in April:

April 4, Palm Sunday, 5:00 p.m.

Leon Couch, member of the faculty of Texas A&M University, has doctoral degrees in organ performance and in music theory from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Couch directed the Bach Choir at Vespers in February.

April 25, 5:00 p.m.

Dale Voelker, head of the music department at Judson College, is also the founder and director of the Washington (D.C.) Kantorei. Dr. Voelker, who will lead the Bach Choir on May 16, has a doctorate in music from Northwestern University and a diploma from the Westphalian Church Music School in Herford, Germany.
