A Special Note from Eileen Spehr

Thanksgiving Greetings,

Thansgiving is still weeks away, but I'm happy to take time to say thank you for the financial gift from the CTK Foundation. It's a welcome amount to use against my expenses. Since I'm taking five classes this semester, my books alone come to over $500. There are still a few more to purchase, but I had put off doing so. Buying them is now easy, compared to reading them all!

My seminary studies will be over with this semester. I finished mid-terms this last week. The time continues to go by quickly, although when it comes to writing final papers, I'll probably wish I had more time. Having my seminary approval and the synod one (given when I was in Houston in October), enables me to be an official candidate for a call to ordained ministry in the December assignment process. Since Paul's work project is not completed, I've asked to be assigned to the New Jersey synod. If it takes a while to receive a call, I'll just remember how worthwhile the wait was for the one that brought me to Christ the King Church and wait patiently for the work of the Spirit to put me where I need to be. In the meantime, I'll find plenty to do and will enjoy having some time to relax. It has been a full three years, getting to this point! Thank you for all your prayers and your support as I travel this ministry journey.

Grace & Peace,

Eileen Spehr
