It's not just for little ones anymore. Parents' Night Out, the babysitting cooperative that happens on the first and third Saturdays of the month, now has a monthly night for ages 7-12 — Movies in the Hall!
Beginning November 15, parents can drop off older kids from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. in the parish hall for dinner, games and a movie. Please bring sandwich fillings, $1 for drink and popcorn, and pajamas if you want.
Movies in the Hall! will continue on December 20, January 17 and every third Saturday night. Movies will be approved by the parents group, and staffed by a volunteer family. Kids aged 6 and under can still spend a fun evening at the regular nursery Parents' Night Out, from 5:30-10:30, with paid caregivers and volunteers. The PNO cost is $10 per child, or $8 for after-7 pm drop-off. Please RSVP for both events early — RSVP sheets are in the nursery.
BUT if you wish to participate, you must volunteer as parents for one evening. Sign up now on the Movies sign-up sheet in the nursery. Those wishing to leave children in the regular Parents' Night Out must sign up for that as well.The PNO Sign-Up sheet for 2004 is now awaiting your signatures! This is a great way to make a fun night for the whole family, while giving parents a much-needed private date.
