Service and Care Fare, November 2

How does our congregation care for those in our community who are less fortunate? How do we care for our members in need? How many ministries does our congregation support? For the answers to these important questions and many more, come to the Service and Care Fair to be held on Sunday, November 2nd. From 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., the parish hall will be turned into a festive forum for fun, fellowship, and for finding out how our congregation serves as "the Village Church with a Global Mission." Learn about the following ministries (and many more) in which our members are engaged:

  • Christian Community Service Center
  • Houston Food Bank
  • Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston
  • SEARCH (for the Homeless)
  • The Hospitality Apartments
  • MD Anderson Blood Drives
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Global Missions (Lutheran CenterMexico City; Africa Inland Mission)
  • Bread for the World
  • Alternative Gifts/Lutheran World Relief
  • Lay Eucharistic Ministry
  • CanCare Cancer Support Network
  • Piecemakers
  • Congregational Care Team
  • Community of Hope

In collaboration with the Service and Care Fair, there will also be a Health Fair sponsored by our Health Ministry Team. Please see our Parish Nurse, Linda Schoene's article for more information. If you attend only one event during the Sunday Church School hour this year, you'll want it to be this one. Come one, come all!
