It's September, the school year has begun and the Melanchthon Institute welcomes Professor Timothy J. Wengert for the Fall Semester. An exciting schedule of teaching and preaching awaits the members of Christ the King.
While on sabbatical from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, Prof. Wengert will draft a biography of Philipp Melanchthon. He also will preach at both services Sunday, September 7. On Thursday, September 11 from 10:00 a.m.-noon, Prof. Wengert begins a six-week series titled, A Small Catechism for Big People. While this class is primarily geared to assist pastors in their teaching of Luther's Small Catechism, all are invited. Contact Donna Pierce at 713-528-5520 to register.
