There will be a Blessing of the Animals service at Christ the King Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m.
The service, which Christ the King first offered in 1995, lasts about 45 minutes. In the past it has drawn around 50 pet owners both from the congregation and from the community at large. A diversity of pets have been presented, including ferrets, sand crabs, and gold fish, as well as the more typical cats and dogs.
