The church council confirmed the recommendation of the interim music committee to hire Dr. Albert LeDoux to serve as the interim music director at Christ the King Lutheran Church with a one-year contract. Dr. LeDoux (la DOO) is a native of Louisiana and graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans where he studied oboe and vocal performance. Dr. LeDoux earned a Master of Music in choral conducting and a Doctor of Musical Arts in choral conducting and vocal pedagogy from the University of South Carolina. He conducted and sang professionally in Germany for fourteen years. While completing his graduate work Dr. LeDoux served Lutheran and Presbyterian congregations as organist and choir director.
Dr. LeDoux will conduct the church choir and brass choir, consult with other music directors, coordinate music for worship, train musicians and assisting ministers, and continue organization of the music office.
