Martin Luther's Handbook for the Christian Household

Professor Timothy J. Wengert provides a look at Martin Luther's practical advice for mothers and fathers in a Christian household. If you are a Lutheran parent, you cannot afford to miss this unique presentation. This event will be on Thursday, November 13 from 7:30 -9:30 p.m. Registration is $20.

Godly Play Teacher Accreditation Training Conference, August 14-16

You are invited to participate in an exciting but demanding 18 hour immersion into the Godly Play method. Godly Play needs to be learned from the inside out, so this certification workshop emphasizes process. You will experience a Godly Play class in a beautiful, well-equipped classroom and then reflect on the experience with seasoned trainers who have learned how to guide such discussions. A second major focus is on the practice of the lessons. Each participant is expected to practice and tell a Godly Play story to a small group of other participants and a trainer. You will leave this event as an accredited Godly Play Teacher, knowing that whatever happens in the storytelling situation, you will be able to sustain the story. The cost for the conference is $240.

Milestones Ministry for Home and Congregational Training, August 26-28

This training event teaches youth workers, directors of youth and family ministry, directors of Christian education, and pastors how to engage in youth and family ministry that begins at birth and becomes a way of life. The training will be presented by Dr. David W. Anderson, Director of Home and Congregational Renewal at The Youth & Family Institute, Bloomington, MN.

Formula for Parish Practice

Presented by Professor Timothy J. Wengert, participants will discover ways to use the Formula of Concord in today's world. The Formula of Concord is the neglected document of The Book of Concord that offers later Lutheran pastors solutions to raging theological problems of their day. Topics will be:
