CCSC will be starting its 7th program this fall, a child care program to help low-income working families. They currently have funding to begin one classroom of thirteen 3-year-olds. As they raise more funds, the facility will be expanded to add classrooms and reach their capacity of 94 children. CCSC seeks Child Care Director
CCSC is looking for a full-time Child Care Director. Ideal candidates for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, and have prior experience running a center. Applicants should meet minimum requirements under the Texas Dept. of Protective and Regulatory Services. Benefits include competitive salary in an award winning, Christian work environment. CCSC has designed a new JobNet program called "Martha's Way." It is an innovative curriculum that trains women to be entrepreneurs in the field of domestic housekeeping. The program participants will receive training in technical aspects, business practices and communication skills, as well as job leads for prospective employers. The 2002-2003 school year is over, but the Christian Community Service Center is already preparing for next year. Four thousand children have registered for the center's annual Back-to-School program. The Back-to-School program provides needy children with a school uniform and all the school supplies necessary to get the school year off to a great start.
For only $40 you can sponsor one of the children registered in the program. Checks made payable to CCSC and designated Back-to-School Program may be placed in the offering or turned in to the church office. For more information, contact Jenna Nassif.
