- Barbara Hinderlie will speak about her family's experiences there and the
future for mission activities with the unrest in Central Africa.
Barbara and her husband, Pastor Andy Hinderlie, have served as missionaries
in the Central African Republic since 1998. They were evacuated last fall
because of a civil war in CAR. Pastor Hinderlie taught at the seminary in

mission personnel serving in that area. Before going to CAR, Barbara, a chemical
engineer, worked for Shell Chemical Co. 1991-98, and Pastor Hinderlie was
associate pastor at Christ the King Church in Kenner, LA.
- June 8 Bible/Theology Series
- "Interpreting Scripture as Drama/Comedy." Lucky Sahualla will
lead the class in taking Bible stories from the page and preparing them for
the stage (or screen). We will look at interpretive decisions that would be
made in preparing the stories for dramatic presentation (or for filming) and
how that process allows for exploring the passage. The class is designed for
the dramatic novice and will not require any performance. Please bring a Bible.
Lucky has taught the High School class for the past 8 years, directed musicals,
and written and directed Christmas and Easter pageants here at Christ the
King Church. He has performed in numerous community musicals and plays.
