Danish Anyone?
You don't have to go to Denmark to find
good Danish pastries. Travel down to Danevang, Texas on Saturday, April 12 to
celebrate Queen Margrethe of Denmark's birthday and you will find a mouth-watering
abundance of native strudels, macaroons, and coffee cakes. While you are there,
you can visit the town's new Danish Heritage Center and the Danevang Lutheran
Church. The center is the result of collections of old photographs, farm and household
implements, quilts and other artifacts gathered to preserve the memories from
the old days by the Danish Heritage Preservation Society. Christ the King Church
member Al Jensen is also a member of the Heritage Preservation Society. You can
