Refugees Need Our Help

One of the many consequences of the September 11 tragedy is the halt to new refugees coming to the U.S. Thousands of refugees already approved for resettlement in the U.S. are languishing in refugee camps around the world. IM normally resettles 450 refugees each year, but has received only 70 since October. Contact your local Senator or Congressperson and ask them to remain accountable to the decision to resettle 70,000 refugees in 2003. Reach Senator John Cornyn at 1-202-224-2934, and Senator Kay Hutchison at 1-212-224-5922. Find your Representatives at www.house.gov.
