Sabine will use her scholarship to join the LWR study visit group "African Harvest and Hope," which will travel in Kenya and Uganda January 26 through February 8. She and 18 other Lutherans will meet and learn from LWR-supported community groups in urban slums and rural villages who are working to prevent and educate about HIV/AIDS, care for the afflicted, support the orphans, and grow food for all. The group will be hosted by LWR staff members based in Nairobi, Kenya, who are all local nationals.
