CPR: A Gift from You to Others! by Linda Schoene, Parish Nurse

Do you know what to do if someone has a heart attack, respiratory arrest, or a choking episode? Do your co-workers or family members know what to do if it happens to you?

As you work on your Christmas shopping list, I suggest registering for a CPR class. Knowing what to do in those first few minutes of an attack or episode can truly make a difference. Early recognition of the problem and early initiation of CPR positively impacts survival rates.

CTK will sponsor a CPR class on Saturday, January 18 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The class will cover adult, child, and infant procedures. It is appropriate for first timers or those needing a renewal. The cost is $35 to cover instructor fees and materials. Please note that this is a community CPR. If you are a healthcare provider, this class will not meet your renewal requirements

We need a minimum of 10 people to proceed with the class. The class is available for all, but ushers, nursery workers, and Sunday School teachers are especially encouraged to register. We want to be a congregation that is prepared!

Childcare will be provided.

To register, please contact Linda Schoene, Parish Nurse.
