Community of Care Class Begins January 20

Our congregation has been conscientiously and prayerfully expanding our service and care ministries for several years. We have further developed a Congregational Care Team, created the Lay Eucharistic Ministry, and added a Parish Nurse to our staff.

We now have an opportunity to expand all of our service and care ministries through the Community of Hope lay ministry training. This 14-week, 42-hour training was developed at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in 1994, and it is now used at over 60 institutions across the nation. Its purpose is to awaken trainees to God's call in their lives and to help them discover their spiritual gifts for ministry.

The first class will begin on Monday, January 20, and will culminate with a commissioning on Sunday, April 27. Classes will be on Monday from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Class size is limited. For more information, contact Peggy Sale or Diane Persson, both graduates of Community of Hope training, or Beverly Davis, who will graduate on December 10. To register, please call or email Director of Member Involvement, Beverly Davis.
