After nearly 18 months of squeezing into temporary buildings, hosting after-service snacks in the cloister, crossing back and forth between the Melanchthon House and the main buildings, and cramming a full schedule of meetings and rehearsals into less than half the space they were intended for, we are ready to begin the move into the new building.
December 21 is the target date for the first stage of our move-in. But even though the building will be ready, additional furnishings and equipment are still needed. You are invited to "endow a chair" (or a table) to help furnish the parish hall, which we have been using for some months in its semi-finished condition. Beginning Sunday, November 17 tables will be set up in the cloister after services and in the parish hall during SCS with information about how you can contribute toward furniture for the parish hall.
A catalogue listing major advance gifts will also be available for you to peruse. The gifts range from contributions to defray construction cost of the narthex and renovation of the parish hall to gifts of furnishings for specific rooms of the building.
