Organ Vespers November 10

Organ Vespers on November 10 will feature organist Christopher Stembridge from Italy, who will play works of Scheidemann, Bach, Handel, Buxtehude, Frescobaldi, and Clerambault.

Mr. Stembridge studied languages at Cambridge University and music at Oxford University. He now teaches organ and harpsichord at the School of Church Music Santa Cecilia in Brescia, Italy, and master-classes and courses on historic organs in Arezzo, Italy, and in Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

Advent Vespers December 1

On the first Sunday in Advent, December 1, Dr. Robert Lynn will direct the Bach Choir and Orchestra in a concert of Advent music, including J. S. Bach's Magnificat in D Major and Cantata 140: "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme."

Both Vespers will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the nave. There is no admission charge; a free-will offering will be received.
