St. Olaf Orchestra on Tour in Houston

The 92-member St. Olaf Orchestra from St. Olaf College, called “one of the best college orchestra’s in the nation” by Time magazine’s Richard Ostling, will perform with the St. Martin’s Choir at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage St., Thursday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. The St. Olaf Orchestra, conducted by Steven Amundson, will join the St. Martin’s Choir in a performance of Faure’s Requiem. St. Martin’s director of music George Mims will play the Gloria Dei Organ. And the St. Olaf Orchestra will perform Symphony No.6, Pathetique by Tchaikovsky.
