With the new school year starts a new confirmation class at Christ the King Church. Our two new students Aaron Schaer and Andrew Winston were introduced to the congregation on Rally Sunday and given their new study Bibles. They will receive two years of confirmation instruction, the first year focusing on Bible study and the second year on Luther’s Small Catechism and related themes. The Catechism is memorized and put in the context of faith and ethics as it applies to our time. The confirmation service for them will be in the spring of 2008.
The class of 2009 will join this group in the fall of 2007. Confirmation camp is planned to take place at Lutherhill next summer and will give the youth a chance to grow together before classes start back up in the fall.
