Luther Leaguers to Learn Lucrative Lessons

As Luther League starts up again this fall there is an added bonus to attending. Brannon Lloyd will be teaching an intermediate finance course designed to specifically teach good financial habits to Middle and High School students. The five lesson course, called Money Savvy U™ will be taught during part of the Luther League meetings starting Sunday, September 10 at 6:30 p.m. One thirty-minute lesson will be covered each week for five weeks. Some of the topics covered will be Goal Setting, Smart Spending, Investing, and Credit Card use. In addition, each student will receive a Cash Cache™ binder/checkbook to help keep goals and financial records organized. Good money management skills can positively influence the rest of your life, and this is a fun way to start your financial education.

The Luther League has just completed a busy summer and is looking forward to carrying the momentum into the fall semester. Under the leadership of Tim Lenz, the Luther League will begin meeting on Sundays at 6:30 p.m., directly following the Youth Choir. In addition to the Money Savvy U™ curriculum, the meetings will include food, games, a discussion, and fun fellowship outings. The Luther League is open to youth 6th grade through high school. This fall the Luther League will have opportunities for fellowship, education, service, and worship. Some plans already include a ropes course, bowling, a fall fundraiser, Christian concerts, LYO Youth Gatherings, and weekly meetings. Come join us to meet new friends and hang out with old ones.
