Welcome to Tim Lenz who is returning to Christ the King Church as Director of Youth and Family Ministries. His arrival has been eagerly awaited especially by the middle and high school youth and Luther League. They enjoyed two years of summer activities in 2004 and 2005 under Tim’s leadership as an intern. Tim graduated from Texas Lutheran University in May with a major in Theology with a concentration in Youth and Family Ministry. Congratulations, Tim!
The creation of the new position Director of Youth and Family Ministries completes a long needed piece in the puzzle of Christ the King Church’s ministry to families within the larger picture of Faith Formation. Church council is grateful that Tim has accepted this opportunity to serve our congregation and youth.
First on the list of things to do is a trip to the National Youth Gathering, July 5-9, in San Antonio. The youth have prepared for this trip and raised funds during the last year together with their parents and Tim.
Tim will be welcomed at both services on Pentecost Sunday, June 4.
