The Future of Theological Education

After a series of meetings with Pastor Dick Bruesehoff, ELCA Director for Life Long Learning, Dr. Eric Gritsch, scholar, teacher, and retired seminary professor, Ashley Hall, Ph. D. candidate at Fordham University, and many other interest parties. The Melanchthon Institute is now looking how to offer distance learning opportunities. Its vision is to become a Houston based center for courses on the enhancement of congregational ministries and preservation of our rich Lutheran heritage which owes so much to Philip Melanchthon. The next step is the formation of task force teams to look at various aspects of the ministry, including curriculum, development, use of technology in learning, and special events.
