Sunday, May 14 is Mother’s Day. You may not realize it, but many local mothers need our help and this is a great time of year to remember the less fortunate.
Christian Community Service Center’s Emergency Services program assists families in crisis. Last year, the program helped 4,071 female-headed households with food, clothing and financial assistance. Many single mothers are struggling every day to meet their children’s needs.
How can you help? Please consider donating some specialty items:
-diapers (sizes 4 & 5)
-powdered or ready-to- feed infant formula
-baby food (all stages)
-gently-used infant/ children’s clothing
Thanks for thinking about the special moms who visit CCSC in search of help!
Additionally, we collect canned and non-perishable items yearound. A collection box is located in the narthex chapel on Sundays and in the church office weekdays. For more information, contact Beverly Davis at 713-523-2864, ext 27.
