Million Voices for Darfur
On Sunday, April 30, there
were rallies in Washington, D.C. and all over the country supporting action in
Darfur, Sudan. In a time of tsunamis and devastating earthquakes, the UN has called
Darfur “the world’s greatest humanitarian crisis.” Nearly 3
years since the violence began, the massacres continue, women are still routinely
raped as a means of ethnic cleansing, and children still go hungry. You can take
action by filling out and signing one of the cards located on the mobile bulletin
board and mailing it to President Bush. To learn more about the situation in Darfur
and what the U.S. could do to change it, visit their website www.MillionVoicesForDarfur.org.
