Mothers' Day Offering Of Letters

Our Mother’s Day tradition of writing letters to Congress urging support for anti-poverty programs is on for May 14. The theme for the 2006 Bread for the World offering of letters is One Spirit, One Will, Zero Poverty. Poverty-focused development assistance from the United States strengthens communities around the world and helps poor people, particularly mothers and their children, overcome hunger and poverty.

We have a monumental opportunity in the coming decade to cut global poverty in half. Let’s not waste it. Join in after both services on May 14, 2006 to let our Congress persons know that these anti-hunger programs are a top priority for us and should be supported with full funding.

Addresses, sample letters, paper, pens and stamps will be available
