Peter Sidney and Gabby Shaddock just competed in the AAU District
Qualifier at Bulter Stadium, Saturday, March 4. Both won second place in Olympic
Sparring, qualifying them for the AAU National Championship, again, this year.
A special moment of the day was getting to meet Steven Lopez (3 timesWorld TKD
Champion and 2 times Olympic TKD Champion) along with Mark Lopez (2x Worlds).
They will both compete in Forms along with their mother, Nancy,
at the AAU Regional Championship, April 29, 2006.
Since the holidays, Peter Sidney won first in Forms and third in Olympic Sparring,
while Gabby won 2nd in Olympic Sparring at the Texas Championship held by Young
Brothers Taekwondo in November 2005. Gabby also won third place at the Texas
International Taekwondo Championship at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas, February
4, 2006.

Member Karl Lothmann will be singing Mozart’s Requiem with the Houston Masterworks Choir on Saturday, April 22, at Grace Presbyterian Church on Beltway 8. He will also be singing Renaissance music with the Piping Rock Singers at Christ the King Church on Friday, April 28.Tickets for both events can be bought at the door.
