We Are There.
We Remember.
We Care.

Through ELCA World Hunger and Disaster Response, our memories are long and our response is strong…even after a disaster is no longer in the news, even when our neighbor in need is far away, and even when need piles on top of need.

ELCA World Hunger and Disaster Response has a well-deserved reputation for “being there for the long haul.” Your generous gifts to ELCA International Disaster Response/South Asian Tsunami and ELCA Domestic Disaster Response/Gulf Coast Hurricanes are funding multi-year recovery efforts. We are there. We remember. We care.

Through undesignated giving to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal and ELCA Disaster Response we are in the Gulf Coast and Florida after the hurricanes. We are along the Pakistan-India border after the earthquake. We are in Wisconsin and Indiana after tornados. We are in Niger, Ethiopia, Sudan, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, China…. We are there. We remember. We care.

Through undesignated giving to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal and ELCA Disaster Response we “are there” long before most of us are aware of the need. Undesignated gifts to ELCA Disaster Response make it possible for a swift and nimble response where and when it is needed most. Undesignated gifts to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal allow for proactive and sustainable relief, development, education, and advocacy efforts. We are there. We remember. We care.

“Therefore, since it is by God’s mercy that we are engaged in this ministry: we do not lose heart.” (2 Corinthians 4:1)
