Calling All Thrivent Members!
Did you know that Thrivent Financial for
Lutherans has matched more than $1600 worth of funds raised by congregational
endeavors this year? Most recently, that included $400 that went to the Christ
the King Lutheran Church Festival auction in November. In order to qualify for
matching funds, the congregation must have participating volunteer families. We
are very blessed to have a number of Thrivent families who always volunteer; however,
we do not know who all within our membership are Thrivent families. Because of
the new privacy laws, members who have asked not to be contacted have been removed
from dissemination lists—even to their own congregations. So please help
your Thrivent congregational coordinators know who you are. Please contact
the church office or 713-523-2864 ext. 27 and let us know that you are a Thrivent
member. That information will be used solely as a contact list for participation
in congregational and branch activities and decision-making. And thank you Donna
Salas, Frank Jurgens, and Beverly Davis who have been serving as congregational
coordinators for Christ the King Lutheran Church. Frank Jurgens will be leaving
as coordinator so we are presently looking for a new congregational coordinator
to join Donna and Beverly. They would love to visit with anyone interested in
